Oshi no Ko Wiki

"I'll fight to make sure I shine the brightest. Don't hold it against me."
―Yuki to Akane Kurokawa[src]

Yuki Sumi () () ゆき, Sumi Yuki?」 is a supporting character in Oshi no Ko. She is a high school first-year fashion model who participates in the reality dating show We're About to Fall in Love for Real or LoveforReal. Initially imagining she'd fade into the background, she used her character to create drama and interest. From her participation, she established connections with her fellow participants, most notably, Nobuyuki Kumano (her now-boyfriend), Akane Kurokawa and Aqua Hoshino.

Appearance[]

Yuki has wavy waist-length bluish-black hair that has square bangs hanging over her eyebrows with chest-length hair strands hanging on either side and dark-brown eyes.

She is seen wearing two different outfits:

  • She wears a high school uniform, consisting of a light tan cardigan, a white shirt, a red bow tie, a dark brown skirt, black socks and brown shoes.
  • She was seen wearing a casual outfit at the end of LoveforReal.

Personality[]

While Yuki describes herself as a timid person with average conversational skills, Aqua Hoshino quickly notices that this is all an act. She wants to be in the limelight and is quite competitive, as seen in her conversations with Akane Kurokawa, wanting to gain all the attention for herself.

However, she isn't malicious, being reasonable and well-meaning in private. When injured by an agitated Akane, she understood her struggles and quickly forgave her. Often she engages in regular girl talk, discussing similar interests with other girls.

Despite being a model and quite popular among teenagers, Yuki herself admits that she has never truly fallen in love with anyone until she participated in the reality show We're About to Fall in Love for Real where she met Nobuyuki Kumano, her first boyfriend. Even though Yuki rejected Nobuyuki in the last episode of the reality show, they were actually dating, presumably to avoid media attention towards their relationship.
