Mem-Cho has two younger brothers. She cares about them a great deal, enough to give up on her dream of being an idol and work various miscellaneous jobs to raise enough money for them to afford a good university.

Kana Arima[]
Mem-Cho and Kana first met when Aqua invited her to join the new B-Komachi. Not long after joining, she quickly deduces that Kana has a crush on Aqua. Knowing that he is dating Akane who is also her friend, Mem-Cho finds herself in conflict on who to support. Mem-Cho would often try to cheer Kana up.
Ruby Hoshino[]
It was because of Ruby that she finally had the guts to make her dream come true, which is to become an idol despite her age. At first they were competing for the center spot since Kana wasn't interested in the position. However, it turns out that both of them aren't good enough as singers to claim it. It was then when they watch a video of Kana's "Full Moon", that they both realized and agreed that it should be her in the center spot.
Aqua Hoshino[]
Mem-Cho's meets Aqua during LoveforReal. Their first interaction with Aqua wasn't much to note. She acted like a typical youth to hide the truth.[1] Later, they chat about gaining popularity and maintaining the status quo; Mem-Cho comments on Aqua's disinterest in standing out.[2] After the end of the show, he invites her to join the new B-Komachi. [3]
After becoming an idol, Mem-Cho would come to Aqua to talk about Kana from time to time. When Aqua distances himself from Kana, she tells Aqua to see Kana cheer her up. However, Aqua reveals he is staying away to protect her due to her current career as an idol. She then realizes that Aqua is obsessed with Kana, not vice versa.[4] Later when Aqua stops staying away from Kana, Mem-Cho would tease him about it.[5]
Miyako Saitou[]
When Aqua invited Mem-Cho to join the new B-Komachi her youthful appearance could not fool the President. Added by her obvious disturbance based on her body language she confesses her true age and whispers it, which totally shocked Miyako as she lied on it by at least more than half a decade. Still, she managed to join, thus forming the current trio of the new B-Komachi.

Mem-Cho and Yuki were particularly close. They're often seen close and talking to each other, mostly girl talk.
Akane Kurokawa[]
Mem-Cho is very fond of Akane and is the first character to search for her after she disappears into the storm. She's indirectly responsible for saving Akane's life as she contacts Aqua, prompting him to search for Akane as well.[6] Mem-Cho is conflicted about supporting Akane or Kana in romantically pursuing Aqua because both of them are her friends.[7]

Frill Shiranui[]
After her appearance on LoveforReal, Frill has become a fan of Mem-Cho. They finally meet each other in person as during the script read of The 15 Year Lie where Frill reveals he fascination with Mem-Cho after the reality show. [8] The two have since become friends and start hanging out together.[9]
