Interlude Chapter 2 is the second chapter of Oshi no Ko -interlude-. It is written and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released on August 24, 2023.
Summary[]
Melt Narushima, occupation: Pretty Boy. Melt said that it is his calling to be a pretty boy.
On the commemoration of his first photo book release, Melt attended to a handshake event where he was asked a question regarding his opinion on "fans" and whether or not he would date them. He answered that he would, if the fans are cute, and it stirred an online criticism.
Melt was actually overwhelmed when he first faced his "fans", and has to practice his fanservice by winking on the mirror every day, something he wasn't used to.
To prepare himself on facing his "fans", his agency boss told him to watch other male idols performance. Melt wanted to be popular with girls, but he realized that he does not want to be like those "pretty boys".
Melt then ask his agency boss if he can join a band instead, but his agency boss stopped him, saying that he should not look down on gaining publicity.
After playing the role of Kizami on Tokyo Blade stage play, he started to understand what his agency boss means. He can never shake off his inherent "pretty boys" charm, no matter how much he hone his skills. So Melt decided instead to lean on it, making Pretty Boys his occupation and his calling.
