Summary[]
In the past, while Gorou was having a break on the hospital roof, he was greeted by Sarina in her wheelchair. The two then spent their time goofing around on the rooftop with Sarina looking up, staring at the sun.
In the present, Kana, Ruby, and Mem-Cho, are impressed by the demo tape that Himura sent over, titled Pop In 2. Kana sighs and states that her partners' singing will ruin the song but Mem-Cho mentions that their voice can be altered with tools. On her way home Mem-Cho calls her friend, Anemone Monemone to discuss the upcoming trip as well as the music videos. Mem-Cho is concerned about the packed schedule but Anemone manages to convince her and Mem-Cho agrees to bring the idea to Miyako.
On the day of departure, Kana is shocked to find Akane tagging along and wonders why she is here. Aqua retorts by reminding her that the trip is supposed to be a "relaxation trip" after the conclusion of Tokyo Blade. Ruby greets Akane and compliments her appearance, who in turn does the same. Ruby then probes Akane about her relationship with Aqua, asking if she can call Akane her "big sister", believing that Akane will be her big sister once she marries Aqua. Kana begins to weep as she overhears their conversation, leaving Mem-Cho to wonder who she should root for.
After a lengthy journey, the group arrives at Takachiho, where Anemone greets everyone and talks about her taste and company. She also mentions that a goddess of arts worshiped in Takachiho, Ame-no-uzume-no-Mikoto, who supposedly brings good luck to performers. Kana is excited and wants to visit right away but is prevented by Anemone, who reminds her of their busy schedule ahead and leads members of B-Komachi and Miyako to her studio. Left alone, Akane asks Aqua what they should do. She suggests visiting places connected to Japanese mythology but Aqua tells her that there is a place he wants to go, the hospital, specifically the one where he and Ruby were born.
After sightseeing around town, the two eventually arrive at the hospital, where Aqua asks for Gorou Amamiya. He learns that the hospital considered Gorou resigned after losing contact with him for an extended period of time. Aqua recalls his time as Gorou, including those with Ai, and the place of his demise, before walking down the path in search for the body. At the end of the trail, Aqua asks Akane a hypothetical question about finding the corpse of his "pet" from 15 years ago. Akane reasons that it is possible to find the remains if they were buried, but if the body was left alone, it might have been eaten by wild animals and scattered throughout. Aqua assumes that his old body must be buried to cover up the murder, and so gives up.
They then go to an old house signed Amamiya family and Aqua apologizes for bringing Akane to random places and explains that it belongs to an old acquaintance but was left abandoned after the inhabitants passed away. He then tells Akane about Gorou's family explaining that Gorou's mother bled out after giving birth, and Gorou was raised by his grandparents since his father's identity was unknown. And as he grew up, he had a complicated relationship with his grandparents. Due to feeling guilty about costing his mother's life, he did not object to his grandmother's wishes for him to be an obstetrician, even though he wanted to be a surgeon.
By the time Gorou was taking care of Sarina, he was livid because Sarina's parents could not come as her life teetered on the brink. A veteran doctor advised him to be there for Sarina in place of them since Sarina cared for him very much. As Gorou watched over a frail Sarina, she gave him an Ai keychain in her possession. Sarina wanted him to take care of the keychain as if it was herself, and he gave her his word. Sarina confessed her love for Gorou in her last moment and wonders about her life if she was reborn, but her words were cut short as she drew her last breath. Up on a tree, a mysterious girl surrounded by crows monologues over the twisted fate of people that God brings together: Sarina and Gorou, two people who did not have mothers in their life, and Ai, a mother that gave birth to soulless children. The girl smiles as she vaguely hints at their fate's deeper significance.
Meanwhile, B-Komachi has begun filming for their music video. Starting outside, Amenome explains that they will make shots that capture each of the member's cuteness. While moving to the studio, Kana explains to Ruby the behind-the-scenes of producing music videos. During their practice for the dance choreography, Aqua returns with Akane. Kana talks with the pair, who see her idol costume. Akane is quick to scrutinize the outfit while fixing Kana's appearance, but when asked how she looks, Akane blushes and says it gets a passing mark, her inner fan getting the better of her. Aqua is asked the same question and gives a similar response.
While watching B-Komachi perform their dance section, Akane deduces why Kana's acting has improved: it is constantly demanding attention. She asks Aqua if Kana will become successful as an idol, to which he says she will. In response, Akane tells Aqua that he can't be going on dates with her anymore, revealing that she knows after Kana bragged about their recent outing to her. She continues by saying that as Kana grows more famous, she will get more attention, and she can no longer do public dates anymore. Akane warns Aqua to use private rooms if he still wants to eat together with her in that case because all it takes for her career to plunge is a scandal. She closes by saying that actors like Aqua tend to be a bit loose regarding privacy issues like those, so she needs to remind him. Aqua agrees, knowing that Kana could get in trouble if she was seen in public with a man, and worries that it in the worst-case scenario, she could end up dying like Ai did.
After wrapping up filming for the day, Amenome tells the youths to head to their rooms for the night. Ruby heads to the inn with Akane, but they run into a crow that steals Ruby's room key when she approaches it. While chasing after the bird, Ruby and Akane chat, the former sharing her aspirations as an idol and what she wants to do after fulfilling them. Thinking about her wish to reunite with Gorou, Ruby suddenly asks Akane how big of an age gap she'd be okay with. Akane realizes that Ruby likes someone older than her and asks about this man. Ruby tells Akane about Gorou, his personality, how he supported her, and his sudden disappearance. As Ruby fantasizes about reuniting with Gorou, her thoughts are interrupted by the caw of the crow, who goes behind a small shrine. Following the crow, the girls find a tunnel behind the shrine. Going inside, they find the crow next to the skeleton of a doctor. Recognizing the keychain she gave to Gorou all those years ago on the corpse, Ruby drops to her knees, realizing this is Gorou.
