Summary[]

Ruby begs to Miyako for more jobs.

Ruby begs to Miyako for more jobs.

Ruby shows off to her friends Minami and Frill about the appearance of B-Komachi on the magazine Weekly Playboy, and tells them about B-Komachi's other accomplishment. Ruby feels she finally belongs with everyone because she previously felt left out since everyone has a proper show-biz job. Minami and Frill find things awkward when talking to people in the same line of work since they can be misconstrued as bragging, but when they start talking about a mutual actor that they knew, Ruby feels left out once more. At home, she demands Miyako to get more jobs for B-Komachi. Mem-Cho asks if they should collab with Pieyon again, but Ruby wants jobs like concerts. Miyako says that B-Komachi cannot perform in any concerts while Kana is busy with the Tokyo Blade play. Kana then appears in the office as rehearsals were put on hold for potentially several weeks following the dispute between the author Abiko Samejima and the staff.

Raida explains the state of the stage play's script to Aqua and Akane.

Meanwhile, Aqua and Akane go on their date to watch the stage play Smash Heaven in a Stage Around venue. When the play is over, Aqua admits that the play is a lot more exciting than he anticipated, pointing out the massive difference that the Stage Around venue provides, which Aqua admits movies cannot replicate. Akane expresses relief that Aqua enjoyed the play as producer Raida comes to see them after spotting the two walking out of the play. Raida reveals that he is part of this production as well, and Aqua asks about the state of the Tokyo Blade script. Raida informs them that Abiko has demanded the firing of the scriptwriter Goa, as well as rewriting the script herself. Aqua argues that Abiko would not be able to do so, since she likely has the same reservations as he did and would not be able to make full use of the Stage Around venue. Raida agrees and notes that today's play was also written by Goa, praising him and his writing ability, and admitting that he didn't want him to get fired. Even so, Aqua points out that Raida is the only person who can do something about it.

On their way home, Akane mentions that she still feels Goa's script is good, even if there are problems when compared to the manga. Aqua says that the problem lies within the breakdown of communication between Goa and Abiko, and if things clear up between the two of them, the play should come out better. Aqua then plans to do something to help as he starts contacting Yoriko.

Later, Aqua, Akane, Kana, and Melt visit Yoriko's place and everyone is excited to see a mangaka's workshop in person. Melt is still bothered by the fact that Yoriko is still giving him the cold shoulder. Akane questions the wisdom of visiting Yoriko, when the one they need to convince is Abiko. Aqua explains that creative types stop listening once they become popular and the only people they listen to are fellow creatives. The group discusses Abiko, who started as Yoriko's assistant. She was not particularly good at socializing but became rather attached to Yoriko. Not long after she started serializing Tokyo Blade, she soon surpassed Yoriko. The conversation then changes to the trials and tribulations of the manga industry. Akane makes a request to Yoriko, asking her to change Abiko's mind regarding the script but Yoriko is unsure since she has already tried before and does empathize with how she feels. Nonetheless, Aqua leaves a theater ticket for her to pass on to Abiko.

Yoriko and Abiko argue.

Yoriko and Abiko argue.

At their behest, Yoriko goes to see Abiko at her apartment but is surprised to find her working on her manga after missing her deadline. Seeing no alternatives, Yoriko takes a seat to help her. As they get to work, Yoriko tells Abiko to hire an assistant to help with the workload, but Abiko keeps making excuses. The conversation escalates into a shouting match between the two, with the junior mangaka saying her senior has no right to speak to her until she can match her sales figures while the senior mentions the junior has given into the reader's pressure by pairing up fan favorites. As they continue to bicker throughout the night and let out their emotions, they manage to complete the chapter by dawn.

As they finally relax, the two start apologizing for the things they said. Abiko then asks how Yoriko can get along with people so easily and she explains that she does so by meeting them halfway. Abiko's reservation comes from the fact the adaptation of Sweet Today was tarnished in her opinion. Yoriko comforts her, calling her an awkward kid. Before setting off for home, Yoriko leaves her with the ticket that Aqua gave her. Abiko, after watching the finale of Sweet Today, heads to the theater.
