Oshi no Ko is a Japanese manga series written by Aka Akasaka and drawn by Mengo Yokoyari. The series takes place in a modern-day Japan and features a number of characters involved in the Japanese entertainment industry, most of which are unnamed, or have names but lack backstory or relevance to the story. Takamine is identified in Chapter 129 when Akane, who is portraying her is shown wearing a dog hairpin during the filming of The 15 Year Lie.

While the surname Himura is written in katakana (ヒムラ), which has no special meaning, its kanji could mean "sun, day" (日) (hi) and "town, village" (村) (mura)
Trivia:
Himura is aged 45 when he was first introduced[2].

Etymology:
The name Mimoji is written in katakana (ミモジ) and has no special meaning, its kanji could mean "three" (三) (mi) and "word, character" (文字) (moji) or 三文字 (3 characters), making ミモジ/三文字/Mimoji autological (ie a word which describes itself) because it contains 3 katakana characters. While the name Kote could mean forearm. "small, little" (小) (ko) and "hand" (手) (te').

Mako Azami

An influential and award-winning director. He has a reputation of a playboy and is known to be seeing other woman behind his wife's back. Kana is nearly caught up in a scandal after being photographed going to his private work place with him.

After the near-miss, Kana would go on to star in his movie Overlooking.[3][4]

Etymology:
The name Masanori means "regular, normal, proper, correct, systematic" (正則).
Masanori's surname Shima means "island" (嶋).

A weekly entertainment true story writer, a rather shameless person who has no problem with writing up scandalous stories about young actors provided that they are legal adults. However, as noted by Aqua Hoshino, this is not done out of any sort of malice but rather to secure his paycheck. Because of this, he is willing to make deals and drop stories in return for an even bigger scandal.

Etymology:
The surname Itano means "board, plank" (板) (ita) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).

Mio Honda

When Ai was 8 or 9, Ayumi's began to believe that her boyfriend, whom she had prospects of marrying, had begun to become attracted to Ai. In jealousy, Ayumi began to abuse Ai until she was eventually arrested for petty theft, resulting in Ai being sent to an orphanage. After being released from jail, she never picked up Ai from the orphanage [5].

Aqua Hoshino later tracks her down and confronts her about her and Ai's past.
