Drinking「飲み, Nomi?」 is the ninety-ninth chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari.
Summary[]
Aqua Hoshino surmised that Hikaru Kamiki was too young to be judged legally, because at the time he was still in middle school. He resolved to get his revenge either way, mysteriously scheming to make him suffer.
Meanwhile, Ruby Hoshino caught Shun Yoshizumi's gloomy face, and it was revealed that his sister, a VTuber/cosplayer Mimi Yoshizumi is caught in a scandal after a video of her foul-mouthed past life is leaked. Mimi now has to suspend her activities until the scandal recedes. Ruby then suggests to Shun that Mimi can join B-Komachi now that her face is revealed to everyone. Kana Arima, who was in the room reading a book, looks up in surprise.
Kana then silently gets out of the room to get a drink in a nearby vending machine and silently ponders on her situation. She compared her personality to Mimi's and voiced her dislike of the situation. She has a stable income working as an idol, but she hasn't been able to secure acting gigs for a while. She laments that now she has become an "extra" while Ruby takes on the spotlight, and wonders why she became an idol in the first place.
She flashes back to the time Aqua raised a lightstick in her color during B-Komachi's appearance in JIF. She also remembers the time he pushed her down when Aqua had an emotional breakdown, depressingly stating that he already hated her to such a degree now and that being an idol for Aqua's sake is a foolish dream. Her phone then rings a message notification, and Kana looks at the message she received.
The message is from Kana's actress friend, Mako Azami, who invited her to a private bar in Roppongi. Kana briefly wonders if she should even be at the place, but Mako points out to an idol member who hangs out nearby, and that Kana should relax a little.
Mako then offers her alcohol, but Kana points out that Mako is only a year older than her, wondering if it's even legal for her to drink. Mako claims that she had her coming of age the other day, which draws suspicion from Kana. Mako slides her a drink regardless, and Kana is about to drink it before she is stopped by Masanori Shima, a famous director who has won awards before.
It was revealed that Kana decided to come to the bar because Mako told her Shima would be coming, hoping that she might get an acting job by doing so. Shima and Kana discuss their respective works and get to know each other.
Mako gives a stare before mentioning that Kana is getting popular as an idol recently instead of being an actress, and she reveals that she is jealous of Kana. Kana retorts by saying that Ruby is doing all the work and she has nothing, but Shima cuts her off by saying that everyone knows how talented she is, but no one knows how to properly benefit from it.
Shima then says that if it was him, he can show everyone how to make use of Kana's talent. He then asks if Kana would like to exchange contacts with him.
