Off the Path「道を外す, Michi o hazusu?」 is the ninety-eighth chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari.
Summary[]
Akane was pushed down the stairs by the guy in the hoodie, but Aqua appears and catches her from behind. The man in the hoodie is revealed to be a regular passerby who accidentally ran into Akane. He apologizes and goes on his way.
Akane initially thanks Aqua before she realizes there's something wrong and asks him why he's here, so she pulls out a plush keychain Aqua gave her and discovers that he had put a tracker in it.
Akane asks Aqua when he had planted that in there, to which Aqua answers since Love Now. Akane gets angry and asks Aqua why he'd do something like this. In return Aqua tells Akane that he knew she was trying to do something on her own, reminding her that he warned her of not doing anything reckless or dangerous. When Akane denied this and said she just wanted to resolve the things by talking, Aqua kicks the bouquet out of Akane's hands to reveal that there was a knife hidden in the flowers, so he asks Akane to explain herself. Akane heatedly says she figured that it made sense to carry around a weapon as she is on the track of a potential murderer and things may turn ugly any time.
Aqua tells Akane to stay out of his business and makes it clear that he will remove all trackers that he had planted on Akane, asking her to stop putting herself on danger. Akane walks off without even a glance at Aqua's direction. Now that Aqua finally knows the truth, he decides to go after Kamiki to settle things. Stars appear in both of his eyes.
