Together「一緒に, Issho ni?」 is the ninety-seventh chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on October 13, 2022.[1]
Summary[]
Akane figures out the identity of Aqua's father, Lala Lai Theatrical Company graduate Hikaru Kamiki, who was 15 years old while Ai was pregnant. She deduced that he was 11 years old when he fathered Taiki Himekawa, implying a sinister conclusion that Airi Himekawa molested him. Akane also deduced that since Hikaru was a minor at the time, even if he confessed, he would not be imprisoned, and Aqua might take drastic measures to take his revenge, like killing him directly. She concludes her deduction by saying that it is only a hypothesis and that she needs to investigate it further because she cannot let go of someone who messed up Aqua's life like that.
Akane then began investigating by talking to people, like Taiki Himekawa, the Tokyo Blade director Toshirou Kindaichi, fellow actors Mei Adashino and Kiiro Hayashibara, and compiling notes about Hikaru. From those notes, it was revealed that:
- Hikaru is now the president of his own agency, Kamiki Productions.
- He was born on July 27th in Kanagawa prefecture.
- His height is 178 cm.
- He graduated from the Faculty of Science, but it was not told from which University.
- He was active in Lala Lai Theatrical Company for six years, from age 10 to 16.
Even though the note concludes that since he left Lala Lai, his activities are mostly unknown, there was also a partial note that refers to Hikaru being associated with a woman three years ago.
Akane reads through more information about Hikaru, stating that he established a company at the age of 25, and reading through the address of his company. She realizes that this type of work suits her more than being an actress, as she receives a phone call from Aqua, who calls to check her out.
Aqua notes how sleepy she sounds, even though she is supposed to be free until her next shoot, which makes him ask if she is up to something. Akane makes an excuse that she is on a diet, and Aqua tells her that she is already skinny enough. Akane retorts that Aqua probably will stop loving her if she becomes fat. Aqua then replies that he’ll like Akane no matter what.
Akane is giddy hearing that, and giggles. Akane then said that she did not make the wrong choice after all, and dating him makes her happy. Aqua's lip shakes as he reveals to Akane that ever since he met her, he has been saved little by little, and vaguely asked her about what he should do since he is given a choice between living happily ever after, or a choice he will not say, implying that the latter choice is to return to the path of revenge.
Akane tells him that it is not her place to say, as they are two independent individuals who got close to each other, and he should decide for himself. She said that she would support him no matter what choice he makes, as she wants to carry his burden together with him. Aqua thanks her as the call finishes.
Akane worries about Aqua, who is still haunted by his mother's death, and believes that the day will come when he is free, and until that day arrives, she will not let anyone get in his way.
Akane crosses on a pedestrian bridge, with a bouquet in her hands, and vaguely talks about things that she will do with Aqua once things are settled, but someone with a black hoodie walks close behind her. She noticed the person approaching, and suddenly, her hair fluttered in the wind.
