B-Komachi Night「B小町の夜, B-Komachi no Yoru?」 is the eighty-second chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on May 26, 2022.[1]
Summary[]
After one year of their formation, B-Komachi held their second solo live concert, which was held to an audience of 1000 people, and also available as a paid stream. This concert stream is viewed by a convenience store employee, who discussed with his fellow employee about the possibility of the new B-Komachi to perform in bigger places like Makuhari Messe arena, or the Tokyo Dome.
They discuss further about the potential of underground idols to perform in the dome, something unheard of for the last 15 years. They remarked that nowadays only idols with backing from major agencies can even attempt to perform there, but noting that recently musicians who gets popular from the internet are able to perform in the dome. The shopkeeper, who joined the conversation, remarked that this could be time for an idol group who gets popular because of the internet to take the spot in the dome, like B-Komachi, but cautions that they still need to grow their fanbase and it can take at least four years until they're ready.
The topic then changes to if B-Komachi can last that long, with one employee remarking that Kana doesn't seem to shine as much as before, and Ruby seems more calculating and distracted. They then came to the false conclusion that there could be a new member coming in to B-Komachi.
Meanwhile, B-Komachi were shown in a car driven by Miyako Saitou, finished with their live concert. Mem-Cho learns from Miyako that Aqua Hoshino has a scheduled filming for Dig Deep! One Chance. Kana asked to be dropped off near Ebisu because she have something to do, which turns out to be sitting all alone. Mem-Cho then appears after her, noticing that she's having a hard time. Kana then opens up to Mem-Cho, saying that Aqua is avoiding her because he is now dating Akane Kurokawa and it made her feel distraught. She ended up shouting about her plight, saying that being avoided hurts her more.
Afterwards, Mem-Cho takes Kana back to her place, and Mem-Cho decides to visit Aqua herself for explanation.
