Release「開放, Kaihō?」 is the sixty-eighth chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on January 20, 2022.[1]
Summary[]
As Taiki looks at the piece of paper that states he and Aqua Hoshino share a biological father, he realizes the importance of the matter. Needing even more privacy, he proposes that they head somewhere else, specifically his place, so he can also bring Kindaichi to a bed.
After taking care of the director, Taiki process through the information presented to him. Taiki asks about Aqua's mother but he refuses to reveal the information. Base on Aqua's refusal, Taiki deduces that she must also be from the entertainment industry and brings up a name, Airi Himekawa. Airi is his mother but when he was five, she passed away along with her husband, Seijuro Uehara, in an apparent double suicide.
Aqua is surprised to learn that his father is dead. After some quick math, Taiki states that their father was married when Aqua was born and that he seemed quite fond of women to make up for his lack of talent in acting. Taiki is ashamed that he has seemingly inherited this trait through his DNA and he feels Aqua is doing the same by fooling around with both Kana and Akane. Aqua denies it and Taiki starts drinking, noting how strange it is to meet a blood relative, who turns out to be an actor just like him.
When Aqua returns home, Ruby chastises him for coming home in the morning. Aqua explains he was at Taiki's place and he intents to introduce him to her some day. Aqua tries to process the fact that his father is dead but before he finishes thinking about his revenge, he receives a call from Kana, who demands to know where he went the previously night. Kana is relieved to learn that he left with Taiki and Kindaichi rather than with Akane and bids him good night. As he ends the call, he notices that Akane also left him a message asking if he gets home safe.
Aqua thinks back to Taiki's words regarding his relationships with Kana and Akane and contemplates living a normal life and be happy. Ruby then calls out her brother, saying that she is preparing breakfast and whether he wants some. Aqua opens the blinds and gladly accepts her offer.
