Summary[]
As Aqua admires the radiant performances coming from Kana and Akane, Kana challenges him to raise his game but he thinks he lacks the quality to do so. Elsewhere on the stage, Akane is also admiring Kana's performance, noting to herself that she wants to beat this version of Kana. Tsurugi's duel with Touki ends with her disarming him. She then calls out Blade to finish him off but Princess Saya jumps in the way to take the killing blow. With Princess Saya's body lying on the floor, Blade tells Touki to arm himself but he refuses, saying that he has lost his reason to fight but Blade challenges him again asking if that is all.
During the rehearsals, Gotanda observed that Aqua seemed to in more pain the more he enjoyed acting. Akane explained that the key to deal with panic attacks is to identify the trigger, which Gotanda identified was guilt. He reasoned that Aqua's panic attacks are triggered just as acting got fun, therefore Aqua feels guilty having fun, meaning it has to do with his mother. The director went on to admit that he had worked out Aqua's connection to Ai as well as his reasons for entering the show business, to enact his revenge. Gotanda suggested his apprentice to get treatment but Aqua insisted continuing down this path. In order to keep his emotions in check, Gotanda offered a solution, to not enjoy acting.
On stage, Aqua channels this negative emotions into his performance while his memories of Ai flash through his mind. He then vows he will surpass everyone to attain the recognition he needs because for him, acting is revenge.
