Sun「太陽, Taiyō?」 is the sixtieth chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on October 21, 2021.[1]
Summary[]
Many years ago, at an audition, Akane was mistaken as Kana by a member of staff. Before she can correct him, he let slip that the role was always going to be given to Kana only for the real Kana to arrive at the scene. Meeting her hero for real, Akane introduced herself as a fan and asked Kana about the situation. However Kana was not concerned at all and simply accepted that it meant she was going to get another job. Akane tried to reason with her about the importance of acting but Kana rebuffed her and told her to stop pretending to be her.
The confrontation left Akane confused, so she studied psychology to better understand her. Over time, she came to understand why Kana said all those horrible things that day. Her work was starting to dry up and she was doing everything she could to keep pace. However standing before her today, Akane believes that is not how Kana should behave, the Kana she adored was much more selfish and overwhelming, the one who dazzled like the sun. Therefore she finds the Kana of today abhorrent, who is simply matching those around her. Instead, everyone else should be trying to match her and she will demonstrate that right now.
