Summary[]
The story of Tokyo Blade begins with a man named Blade (Taiki Himekawa) picking up a shining sword. He is immediately interrupted by Tsurugi (Kana Arima), who threatens him to leave the sword alone or she will battle him. In this world, there are twenty one swords of power and after quickly dispatching Tsurugi, who immediately surrenders, Blade declares his intention to become the strongest and rule all of Japan. Tsurugi decides to joins his cause upon hearing this. They then defeat all those who oppose them, one of which Kizami (Melt Narushima), who also decides to join Blade's quest to become king. Since they base their stronghold as Shinjuku, they become known as the Shinjuku cluster.
In act two, Blade's Shinjuku cluster goes up against the Shibuya cluster where Kizami is forced to confront Monme (Sakuya Kamoshida), who is revealed to be working for Shibuya all along. On the stage, Melt notes to himself that Sakuya is a popular actor. And despite being a womanizer, he is a fantastic actor who can act the roles that are completely opposite to his personality.
In the audience, Raida thanks Kaburagi for recommending Sakuya for the project. Sakuya has proven to be an inspired choice, his expertise at bringing 2D characters is amazing to that point that even members of Lala Lai have been able to learn from him. Kana and Aqua are excellent casting too but Raida cannot comprehend why Kaburagi recommended Melt for the project. He is not particularly famous and his acting ability is somewhat lacking compared to the others, especially when you look at his past performance. In response, Kaburagi states that it is personal but he only pushed him into the role because he will get better with time and Raida would come to like him. Kaburagi then points out Melt is no longer the actor he was during Sweet Today. As for whether the casting choice was correct, he points at the only person who can judge him, the original author of the aforementioned series, Yoriko Kichijouji.
