Introductions「顔合わせ, Kaoawase?」 is the forty-first chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on April 22, 2021.[1]
Summary[]
Ruby is visiting her mother's grave, telling her about B-Komachi's latest achievement. It has been four months since their first live performance and they have slowly found success with streaming and they have held additional live shows since. At school, she feels she finally belongs with everyone in the class, because she previously felt left out since she struggle to participate in the conversation when everyone starts talking about their show-biz jobs. However Minami and Frill finds things become awkward when they talk to the people that has the same line of work, since they can be misconstrued as bragging. In her mind, while she does feel worthy, she feels she grown closer to her friends in school. Besides people in the entertainment department do not really care about fame because everyone are in the same boat.
However things are slightly different in the general department where Aqua is at. Despite claiming that he does not plan on becoming an actor, he keeps picking up acting jobs. His friends has asked him about it but he insists that he has no talent for it, he is in show business through luck. Ruby goes on to talk about his girlfriend, even though she despises him an an enemy of women. She then reaffirms her goal of performing at the Dome before bidding farewell.
It is the day of introductions for the Tokyo Blade stage adaptation, as Aqua and Kana make their way in the building, they come across Melt for the first time since working together on Sweet Today. Melts explains to them that Kaburagi was involved in the casting and therefore they will be working together again. Upon hearing this, they both give him a disdain look but Melt understands their reasons as he admits that his performance brought their last production down, and promises that he has learned his lesson in acting since then. In the studio, the cast of Tokyo Blade formally introduces themselves one by one. However the main star has fallen asleep and need to be kicked awake by the director, Toshirou Kindaichi. Once awake, he formally introduce himself as Taiki Himekawa.
