Chapter 166.5 is the second special chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released on December 18, 2024 as a bonus chapter of Volume 16, serving as an epilogue for the storyline as a whole.
Summary[]
Some time after Aqua's death, Mem-Cho uploads a video to talk about Oshi. She clarifies to her fans that it impossible to stay as an idol forever and she has become the producer of B-Komachi. As Mem-Cho speaks in front of the camera, Various images and articles of recent event are then shown:
- Abiko has gotten married.
- Kana has made it as an actress at Hollywood.
- Akane has developed an interest into the occult.
- Frill has made her final film, directed by Gotanda.
- Melt has become a successful actor.
- Yoriko starts serializing a new manga with Abiko as the artist.
- Taiki has briefly contemplated suicide on occasions but he ultimately chose life for the sake of his only surviving family member.
- Miyako and Ichigo have become pioneers at safeguarding the well-being and safety of its talents.
- Ruby remains active as an idol.
Mem-Cho states that in the today's society, everything is consumed at breakneck speed and nothing lasts forever, so why does it warm the heart when one sees their oshi smiles. She believes that oshi is love, or at least the yearning to love someone. When people find someone they wholeheartedly support, they call them oshi. She finishes by wishing everyone and their oshi the best.
