Aqua Hoshino「星野 アクア, Hoshino Akua?」 is the one hundred and sixty-second chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on October 3, 2024.
Summary[]
Beneath the waves, Aqua is grabbing Hikaru by the throat. Having hit a rock on the way down, Hikaru is bleeding from his head and he can feel his vision blurring and losing strength. As he finds himself dying, he tries to fight back by choking his son, who loses his grip on his father. However Hikaru suddenly senses a hand on his shoulder, the spirits of the dead have come to drag him deeper into the water. In his final moments, Hikaru thinks back to his time with Ai and how he was only alive when he was with her. This sensation has become weaker as he got older likely due to the sins he has been carrying. Nonetheless he wanted to feel her presence forever and he wished he could have felt more by killing Ruby.
While B-Komachi continues with their live performance, Tsukuyomi has arrived on the scene underneath the moonlight. Floating above the water, she asks Aqua a question: has he found out his mission. With blood spewing from his mouth, Aqua thinks to himself that the reason he managed to cheat death through reincarnation was not for revenge but to protect his own sister. It is the same reason he was born as a twin, to be the closest to his sister. As his starry eye darken while Ruby's light up the stage, his consciousness begins to drift. The memories of their shared past, including their past lives, flashes through his mind. With a smile on his face, he is glad that to be going before her this time.
