Jewel「宝石, Hōseki?」 is the one hundred and fifty-eighth chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on August 22, 2024.
Summary[]
As B-Komachi perform on the stage in front of their adoring fans, seated amongst the crowd is Nino and she realizes Ruby has surpassed Ai as an idol.
Offstage, Mem-Cho greets with her friend, Anemone while Ruby is surprised to see Akane since they are currently at Miyazaki and they will be performing at Tokyo. Akane explains that she might be busy by the time their tour reaches Tokyo. Remembering that it is set at Christmas, Ruby questions if Akane has gotten herself a new boyfriend, which she immediately denies. Ruby then asks if Akane wants to see Kana but she decides to keep her distance, saying she does not see eye to eye with Kana being an idol. While she enjoys seeing Kana in cute clothes, she had to process it by imagining Kana is playing the role of an idol. While they see things differently, this is Kana's last tour after all.
For Akane, Kana is amazing as an idol but she is no match for Ruby. While she is aware of it, there are those who want to support her despite such competition. This in turn would make people dislike Ruby and try to destroy her sparkle. Ruby is oblivious to it all, stating that their youth is limited and that they cannot shine forever unless they end up like Ai and become people's memory.
Meanwhile Nino is on the phone with Hikaru, who is trying to convince her to turn themselves in to the police. However for her, it is already too late, ever since they killed Ryosuke. For her Ai must always be the best idol that ever was and nobody is allowed to be bigger than her. Somewhere else Tsukuyomi spends some time alone to reflect on humanity as a whole and their definition of love.
It is December 25, the last day of the tour. Noticing someone is at the front door, Ruby goes to open it but she finds herself stabbed with a knife in her abdomen.
