Wish「願い, Negai?」 is the one hundred and forty-seventh chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on April 25, 2024.
Summary[]
Under the raining sky, Ruby walks with Hikaru and thanks him for sharing his umbrella with her. He states to not mind it before asking what she was praying at the shrine for earlier. She replies that she was looking for an answer, elaborating that there is "someone" she cannot forgive; she understands that their actions had circumstances but still struggles to forgive them and knows that she will have to make a choice, so she asked god what to do. Ruby apologizes, believing Hikaru does not understand what she is talking about, but he tells her that she can throw her worries onto him if she wants. He also claims that praying to god is meaningless since the only one who can answer her question is herself, and everyone else will just have to accept it.
Hikaru then inquires Ruby about her "true wish": what she wants to do with her life. Ruby answers that she wants to fulfill her mother's dream, causing Hikaru to infer that she wants to be like her mother. However, Ruby interjects that she intends to surpass her mother and become an idol who can save everyone by making them forget about their pasts. Stunned, Hikaru states that, right now, Ruby is the "brightest" in the world. However, Akane then arrives, interrupting their conversation. Akane questions Ruby regarding Hikaru and she answers that he offered to share his umbrella because it was raining. With the weather having cleared up now, Akane thanks Hikaru for taking care of Ruby before asking the latter out for some tea, which she accepts. As the girls take their leave, however, Akane glares at Hikaru.
After the girls leave, Niino arrives and asks Hikaru if Akane has been following him, which he is unsure of. Hikaru comments that The 15 Year Lie will certainly become a hot topic through it revealing Airi and Seijuro's past. He also curses Kaburagi for putting him in the movie as "Boy A", since tabloids will surely investigate his true identity, deducing that his son is trying to kill him through public malice. Niino worries for Hikaru, but he states that he knew this day would come and that there is still something that he must do.
On the set of The 15 Year Lie, filming concludes with the recording of Hikaru attending Airi and Seijuro's funeral, Ai and Hikaru's break up, Ai's pregnancy, Gorou's death, Ryosuke killing Ai, and B-Komachi's decline.
