Role「役柄, Yakugara?」 is the one hundred and forty-sixth chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on April 11, 2024.
Summary[]
The 15 Year Lie Cut 139: "Misunderstanding"; Hikaru breaks up with Airi but the latter insists that he will come back to her, arguing that Taiki is his child and that no-one will love someone as "empty" as him. Later, at Ai's appartment, Hikaru asks her whether she is going to abandon him. However, since he can see through her lies, Ai simply answers that she does not know. Cut 141: "Her Betrayal Coming To Light"; Hikaru meets up with Seijuro Uehara and comes clean about having been in a relationship with his wife. Cut 147: "Seijuro's Rage", Cut 150: "The Himawari Couple's Double Suicide", Cut 156: "The Importance Of Life", Cut 162: "Ai's rejection", Cut 170: "The Only Way I Know", Cut 202: "Even Just One Wish"; Seijuro murders Airi before killing himself as well, leaving Hikaru horrified at what he had inadvertantly caused.
Backstage, Aqua is looking over the film's script when Kana comes into the room and comments on him being gloomy. When asked if his role has sucked him in, Aqua affirms that it did and he now feels like he wants to die. However, Kana claims that she would then "slap his corpse" before making him promise not to say something like that again. To cheer him up, Kana shows him her secret: pizza chips with sprinkled with sushi na ko powder. While initially doubting whether such a snack would really lighten his mood, Aqua quickly admits that they are delicious after trying it himself. Aqua then thanks Kana, stating that he always ends up having fun when she is around, and leaves the room. Aqua's parting statement causes Kana to become flustered and frustrated, wondering if there were some romantic subtext in his words, before admitting that she likewise has fun when he is around as well.
Elsewhere, Ruby is praying at a shrine when it begins to rain. As she takes cover under the building roof, she is then confronted by Hikaru, who asks if she is alright and offers to share his umbrella with her.
