Piece「ピース, Pīsu?」 is the one-hundred twenty-ninth chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari.
Summary[]
Filming for The 15 Year Lie begins; Takamine criticizes Nino for her scruffy behavior around the dressing room but the air-headed Nino does not understand the problem. Meimei chimes in that Takamine should not tease Nino, but Takamine claims that she is simply giving her tough love. The staff then shouts "cut" and Ruby, who observed it, is told by Miyako that this is the level of acting expected of her.
Mem-Cho inquires Akane and Kana regarding her acting, to which the former responds that it was "okay" while the latter tells her to relax since her character does not have many lines anyway. Akane then notices Ruby getting ready for her first scene as Ai.
While it is only a simply entrance scene, Gotanda demands reshoot-after-reshoot. Observing the situation, Mem-Cho starts to get worried and Kana notes that Taishi is the kind of director that does not let actors go until he is satisfied. Ruby asks the staff for advice and they contact Gotanda, who responds that Ai was dumb, so Ruby should not overdo her performance. However, this only angers Ruby, believing that the director does not understand her mother at all. She ends up channeling this anger in her portrayal and, to her surprise, Gotanda deems it satisfactory.
Kana also finds this take rather good and explains to Mem-Cho that this is what Gotanda wants: to capture Ai's emotions. Mem-Cho is unsure what Kana meant and Akane explains that Ai had a inner anger that is kept hidden. Kana agrees and theorizes that Gotanda is using this first scene to teach Ruby something: acting is dependent on emotions and Ruby will need to understand her mother and pick up on those emotions. Kana then warns the two that this is the way that Gotanda works.
