Watching the first episode over and over again, I noticed what I thought were the most interesting differences between the adaptation and the original.
The first of them is the most relevant in terms of the plot: a scene from the manga where Ai and her children are watching TV, and she says something like "Look, your mom is on TV." After that, we are shown an advertisement for B-Komachi's 7th single "Super Motor". In the anime, everything was different and this scene simply did not exist. Although, there is still a reference to this single in the form of a poster with the release date. (It's a little sad that this song hasn't been implemented yet. Now I'm wondering what it sounds like...)
The second difference: is manga did not give the name of the TV program where B-Komachi performed after Ai's return. Oddly enough, in the anime it's called "NEOTERIC STATION" or "N-STATION" for short (according to Ruby).
Interesting fact (explanation of the 2nd difference): The program's studio is most likely located in Roppongi.
Interesting fact #2 (addition to the same 2nd difference): The outfits of the B-Komachi members shown in the manga are very similar to those that were shown on "Sign wa B" jacket and during performances with this song in anime. I think this is where the same dresses came from...
Interesting fact #3: The only release of the group about which we know at least something (lol) is “Super Motor”.
Well, perhaps my guesses about the timeline (on this I will end today). B-Komachi (I mean original generation) is a group whose period of existence falls on the early 2000s, and the breakdown in 2010s. The sound of their songs and one page made of manga, which seemed quite interesting to me, brought me to this thought.
