//Spoilers will be mentioned ofc
I am a HUGE fan of Oshi No Ko, but this ending felt lazy and poorly executed.
Aqua died for no reason other than shock value, Kana continued taking L after L for no reason, crow girl's monologue makes me physically mad because yOU ARE LITERALLY A GOD WHAT ARE YOU CRYING ABOUT??? YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE AQUA CONTINUE LIVING??? she existed for no reason other than to justify the supernatural. which honestly shouldn't have been done, it just left a bad taste in my mouth, and for many others too.
And Ruby, Aqua literally explained to her that she didn't have to continue lying, that she was bright just the way she was, the whole lying stuff should've stopped right there, no?
We didn't even get to know how Ruby felt standing on stage in the dome, we don't know how anyone felt. It feels like I was reading a badly written ONK fanfiction.
I saw someone else put it better, Ruby was the balance of the Hoshino family, while Aqua and Hikaru drowned in their guilt and mourning for their loved one and let it consume them, and Ai swallowed all the darkness inside of her and bottled it up to make it look like she shined, Ruby managed to mourn, but not let it take over her, and she shared her true feelings but put a brave face on when it mattered, and she genuinely shined.
But the writing in the chapter...just wrote it off as "Ai and Ruby are the complete same." THEYRE NOT???? i'm so frustrated.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to the special chapter, especially because it's coming out on my birthday, December 18th!
